Youth Regional Coordinator
Deb Peters is a USAT Level 1 Triathlon Coach, a USAT Youth & Junior Coach, an ASCA Level 2 Swim Coach, an ACE Certified Personal Trainer, and ACE Certified Health Coach. After a fifteen year career as a retail store manager, she started a career in fitness and is spreading her passion for health and wellness through the multisport lifestyle. Participating in her first triathlon at the age of 47, Deb has pulled several of her clients into triathlon as a way to stop focusing on the scale and focus on how well you can train your body to perform. You learn so much about yourself in training for a triathlon, your strengths, weaknesses, fears as well as goal setting, planning and preparation. She specializes in bringing novice people into the sport, those who really never thought of themselves as athletes.
In 2014, she founded the TriMonsters Youth Triathlon Team, located in Venice Florida. The TriMonsters are kids ages 5 – 15, who are growing not only as triathletes, but as people. This grassroots effort to involve kids in a growing sport that they can participate in for a lifetime, and a sport where they can learn some core life values, has turned into a family training experience for all involved. It is great that triathlon is a team sport that recognizes individual performance.
